Screen Layout

TheSerialAdapterproduces8-colourvideoat800x600resolution,whichcan

accommodate32linesof80textcharacterseach.AtypicalASCIIterminaluses24

lines,sotheSerialAdapterusestheeightextralinestoprovidesystem-statusandhelp

information.Theseeightlinesaredividedsothatfourareatthetopofthescreenand

fourareatthebottom(seeFigure3).
